When is enough, enough before you give up..?

Not even a year ago, my husband and I moved into a new into a new city and was told that the area that we were moving into was good for families with young children. It was not immediate, but we shortly started to realize that there is a lot of drug activity on our street. Some so bold as to sell/deal right in our front yard while passing each other on the street. I have called the cops countless times, as I have to be concerened for my children and I am not nieve to what can happen when drugs are involved. The cops dont seem to be of much help, and my husband and I have even gone so far as to go outside and ask them to move it their own yards. We are at the point where we dont know what else to do, and we cant afford to move right now. How can we, if nothing else, keep them out of our front yard while dealing their drugs.

Sit outside on the lawn, wearing shades and holding a shotgun while rocking back and forth in a rocking chair. They will stop coming around.

Be very careful please. Don't become known as a snitch this could get you in more trouble than it's worth. I once lived in a bad hood. Was told when showed the house, "Do you know what these holes are from." I said yeah they r bullet holes. I simply worked 2 jobs tried to be social, and set outside cleaning my 22 rifle. Drugs are everywhere. Being polite 2 these fools they don't understand. But being rude can get you killed. You must be the only ones in the neighborhood that cares, the rest are to busy reaping the rewards of a lost cause. If the cops don't help? They are probably taking kickbacks.

That's a tough one, no doubt.

Perhaps a neighborhood watch and a concerted effort with your neighbors to have a sit down with the local city council and police chief are in order.

Never hurts to drag in a local reporter.

keep pestering the cops! call, go to the station and scream! thats unacceptable that they can't do anything/won't do anything!

in the mean time, lock your doors, and keep and eye on your kids, don't let them go anywhere without supervision!!
