How can I dispose of an old TV and a large computer monitor, both outdated.?

Both still work well, but I have upgraded, and have no idea what to do with these old heavy things. Seems a shame and environmentally damaging to throw them away.

Try Freecycle.org to give it away locally.

You might consider donating them to the local battered women's shelter...or homeless shelter, or Salvation Army. Call first and ask if they want them. Or try a Goodwill store (or one of that sort, takes donations, sells cheaply to people who need).

donate to local charity or to someone in your church, if you have one, are some good ways to let someone else have them and let someone else use them. goodwill takes things like this and resells them to make money for their various products. advertising them for free or cheaply in local paper would also work. if you recycle cars or otherthings, ask if you recycling center wants them.
