How can I stay logged in for longer?

I used to be able to stay logged in for for 24 hours.

A couple of months ago I started to find the "session expired" message quite frequently. This despite having ticked the box to "stay logged in on this computer."

In the message it says " If you have chosen in your Yahoo! User Information (found be visiting "My Account" next to the Yahoo! Mail logo at the top of this page) to be prompted for a password more frequently than every day, your session will expire after the specified amount of time."

They used to have that on the log-in screen if I remember correctly. Anyway, I haven't found that facility anywhere in my account.

Does anyone else have this problem? If not, will someone please tell me where it is (or should be) ?

If you click on My Account near the top of your screen, enter your password, then click on Edit next to Member Information, you can change the password prompting option. The most you can go between passwords is 24 hours.

I seem to remember Yahoo allowing you to stay logged on indefinitely, but that must have changed. I know you can stay "logged in" in terms of your preferences (i.e. weather reports, your name being displayed near the top, etc.) but to get to your "stuff" (email, account information), you have to enter your password according to the interval in the Member Information area.

Why would u want to stay logged in for 24 hrs?? I think it's a security feature that u probably shouldn't try to override!

my problem is it usually times out while I am in the middle of writing an email with the result of everything lost.. it does not back up my email to draft or send it, very frustrating.

why cant they fix this feature instead of trying to fix things that are not broken.
