Anyone from here?

I just moved to South Jersey from Florida in May. I am still in shock. I come from the West Palm Beach area in FL, & there was just so much to do there, always something going on. I am now living in a very rural area, Elmer. Harding Highway (40) passes right through it. In the summer, I went to the shore a lot. Ocean CIty and Wildwood. I lived a mile from the beach in Florida, so heading to the shore here was a necessity. The beaches in Jersey are quite different from FL beaches, but I do like them. This will be my first winter here & I can't imagine what there is to do in South Jersey during that time. In a couple of weeks I will be going to Gettysburg with my daughter and a friend who is coming up from Florida for a visit. We are going to head over to South Street, in Philadelphia, also. We might go into New York, too. It seems as though you would have to head out of South Jersey for something interesting to do. I hope somebody else can give you a better answer than this. I sure would like to know of some things to do around here.
