where is the immaculate conception found in the bible?

It is not found in the bible. The bible was put together at the Council of Nicaea in the year 327 (I think). It was not until later that one of the popes decided the immaculate conception was a good idea. I am sure they would have included it in with all the other con's if they could have. By the way "immaculate conception" is about "Mary's" conception. Not Jesus'. Mary was born without "Original Sin". That way she was a worthy host for the son of god.

The answer is NO WHERE! That is a dogma that was invented by the Catholic church. The subject of Mary is an ongoing issue.

In the New Testament from the gospel of Matthew up to the first chapter of Acts. Mary is mentioned not more than eight times.

The Catholic church ignorantly and sinfully elevated Mary to a status that sometimes she is placed higher than Jesus.

There is no reference as to what Mary looked like. She was probably about 15. Women married young to bare as many children as possible. This was necessary due to the very high rate of infant mortality.

Around the year 315AD. The emporer Constantine gave the new Christian faith the legal right to exist . During his lifetime pagan idol worship was the leading faith. So, the newly established church and not wanting to lose valueable candidates for membership, they invited the pagan citizens of the area to come and worship with them. They would not come, if they could not have their precious idols.So to accomodate them. Allowed statues into the church. One of the highest idols was named Diana.

So the Catholic church brought Diana into their presence. They promptly renamed the favorite goddess Mary. This action brought other idols along, changing their old names to new ones. Namely the saints that now adorn all Catholic churches.

No one knows what Mary looked like. She lived in the Middle East and as such she most likely had dark skin, the area being so hot and sunny, she was of the Semitic race.

That is why Mary appears in different places, dressed in the native clothing, and skin tones.

This is outright idolatry! Most of the statues of Mary have her holding the baby Jesus. Jesus died as an adult some 33-35 yrs.old! This is because the mother-child worship is very old. If you look into other faiths you will see many examples of this.

The Bible says that Mary was the mother of Jesus. Nothing more, nothing less!

In closing read what is mentioned in the Gospel of Luke. These are Mary's recorded words. "And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour." Luke 1:47.

Mary was a sinner, just like you and me! All prayers are directed toward the Father, in Jesus name. "And whatsover ye shall ask in my name,that will I do,that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask in my name, I will do it." John 14"13-14.

Until Jesus died on the cross, no human being was without sin, because no one had yet received the grace of forgiveness that Jesus obtained for us on the cross .... except for the singular privilege of the Immaculate Conception which was afforded the Blessed Virgin, who, exactly as the Bible states ... was FULL OF GRACE from her conception, and BEFORE Jesus had even been born!

You can read the Greek, and it still comes out the same.

Mary was full of grace. No sin could be found.

She was a perfect vessel, crafted specifically for the birth of the perfect and sinless God-man, Jesus, who could not bear any stain of sin, if he was to sucessfully complete his mission of redemption.

Furthermore, there's serious doubt that Mary could have ever borne Jesus in her womb, if she had not been sanctified expressly for that purpose, as God, particularly the Holy Spirit, is not particularly fond of sin.

The true church has always understood this to be the case, even though the Pope only got around to officially declaring it some time later.

The Immaculate Conception is much easier to understand than the concept of the Holy Trinity, which is also not mentioned BY NAME in scripture.

So where's the problem?

In Luke 1, you will find where, when, and how Jesus was conceived.

The "Immaculate Conception" is not in the Bible, however.

Those words were spoken in a vision beheld by three Portugese children at Fatima.

Mary was quoted as saying "I am the Immaculate Conception."

Based on Luke 1, I'd say that Jesus was the one conceived immaculately.

Satan himself is able to turn himself into an angel of light. Don't allow your focus to be turned away from Jesus...not even towards the woman who birthed Him into this world. Blessed as she was, she is not a redeemer.

The immaculate conception cannot be found in the Bible. It is a doctrine of the Roman Catholic Church. The immaculate conception is not about the birth of Jesus Christ. The Catholic Church teaches that Mary was born without original sin.
