tpi engine swap in a 94 chev pickup?

i own a repair shop,and there were some late 92,s and early 93,s that still had tpi you may find one and it will inter change with it,,but the best option is the newer 350 Lt-1 it will go right in ,as long as you get the harness with it,good luck i hope this help,s.

firstly, chevrolet never put TPI in a big pick-up.it came with TBI. Which was used for quite some time. secondly, if you do it all you need to do is make sure the engine is a newer model than the one you are taking out and that you have the correct emissions controls on the motor. by the way i myself am looking for a 4.3 for my toyota. i could make you a deal.

why TPI? that's old news, you can find LT1's with harness for under a grand. go with an LS1 if you can find one that's about 1500 to 2 g's. The TPI is cool, but if you have a truck go with the t1 or s1.

in 1993 GM switched to the LT1 Eng. they stopped using the TPI in 1992.

My nephew just went thru that pain and agony. His recommendation is to sell the truck and buy one with a 350 already in it. Another choice would to be to purchase another 3.8, set it up for more power and/or torque and swap it out.

There all numerous unforseen problems in the swap you are asking about.

i'm not familliar with the term tpi? but i do know you can swap engines in chevy trucks as long as the trany is compatible. 5.7 litres should bolt up to 4.3 engines trany but if not you may have to change tranys or stay with your current six, ok.
