Even though it is a violation of the Community Guidelines many people (Called "TROLLS") on here report you because they don't like your answer. They also will report you if they think your answer is better than theirs. Getting rid of you will give them a better chance of being chosen as Best Answer. There are many people that will report you, even though your answer does not violate the Community Guidelines, for many reasons.
The primary reason that people can abuse the Abuse Reporting system is that Customer Care does not review the Abuse Reports. Yahoo claims that a human reviews each and every abuse report, but, anyone who has received a bogus violation (sometimes many bogus violations) knows this is a lie.
If you have not read the Community Guidelines, please do. Go to the bottom of any Answers page and click the Community Guidelines link and read them. It will not prevent you from being reported by the "TROLLS", but, you will know when the violation is bogus.
Reading the Community Guidelines will help you recognize when there are legitimate abuses of the Answers site. You should report "Legitimate" abuses. The only thing that will keep this a valuable forum is to report the "Trolls" that are constantly violating the CG's and trying to turn this site into an "anything goes" chat room.
Please do not fall for the Liberal mantra of "You shouldn't judge others and report them". If you had a neighbor exposing themself to the neighbors you would "Judge" them and call the police. Your neighbor is breaking the law, so you make the judgement, and report them. The "Trolls" on Answers are breaking the Yahoo Answers Laws (Community Guidelines) and should be reported.
Yahoo Answers was designed to be a Question and Answers site for legitimate Questions and Answers. Years of experience can provide answers to people that hours or days of Google and Yahoo searches cannot. The idea of not reporting "Trolls" for wanting this to be a chat room (the "we should just open Answers up and let anyone say anything" crowd) will soon bring the downfall of this site. I have seen other Yahoo forums that was allowed to turn into those types of forums. Both were designed to help people with specific problems with their computers. Now both forums are nothing but chat rooms and people needing help cannot get it. The "Trolls" on those forums will attack anyone trying to give legitimate help. If the "don't judge others" and the "anything goes" Trolls get their way, this site will soon become worthless.

Everyone gets one of those. Forget about it. And whatever it was that you did that caused the violation notice, don't do that again.
