    depends on your goals...

Slightly better for the hardware to run all the time.

But more expensive on electric bill.

Also, if you are running Windows .. any version.. desktop .. it likes to be rebooted every day or at least once a week. The shutdown forces a reboot and forces a power save.

We would often turn off the monitors if they did not have a power save feature and leave the box on. .. esp for servers.

A server does not need to be rebooted as often.

    your choises.

Well, I've heard you should do it both ways. So, I don't

guess it matters a whole lot. I would say this, if storms

are predicted for your area during the night, I would shut

the computer down so lightning won't run in on it and

burn up some parts. Then you would have to have repairs

done on it professionally and that ain't cheap. Cheaper to

    shut er down.

It relies upon on in spite of if it is a laptop or a laptop. With a table desirable it does not ought to hold a value like a laptop does. Overcharging a laptop battery might reason shortened lifespan. With a laptop it is meant to run each and every of the time. additionally, laptops that run consistently have an inclination to overheat inflicting harm. laptop: - I bypass away mine on all evening long on the grounds that as quickly as I extremely have it set to replace and test for viruses, etc. - My moniter is means great call rated so i dont worry approximately over utilization, yet you will possibly not. examine the handbook. - My laptop is desperate to "sleep" or "hibernate" after ten minuets of little need, it is a good time for me yet your selection may be diverse. - As for internet, in the previous you're completed for the evening, close all domicile windows. verify you have as much as this point virus secure practices and an enabled firewall. laptop: - My suggestion for it is to show it off for motives perviously published. all of it comes all the way down to what you have, do, and preserve and sparkling your person laptop.

Leaving it on isn't an issue, as long as you restart it at least once a week. There are updates and resets that need to be done and only happen when you shut down. Make sure you have your screen saver programed so it comes on so that you don't get the stuck images.

In my opinion, you should turn off the computer and unplugged all the power wire to prevent short circuit if there is a leak.Turning on the computer will consume electricity and will lead to wastage.

well, i would say, if you are connected to the Internet, turn it off, otherwise, it's fine, just turn the mo niter off, but if you are connected to the Internet you are vulnerable to viruses, especially if you have a high-speed connection, such as DSL, or cable Internet.
