What's the sweetest thing anybody has every said to you?

It was a cold night, I gave her my jacket, I was holding her to keep warm and she said "Your the one," and then looked into my eye "I love." Everything about that was perfect the space in between the word, the way we were holding each other, everything (*sigh*).

On a night when many girls were trying to make me feel better over something stolen, a day when all of us had a little bit too much of the spirit of the grape in us, and a lot of flirting of various types transgressed, the simple phrase "I think I love you." was the sweetest thing I have heard especially when it was some how combined with "By the way, I am a virgin." Call me crazy but it sounded a little like a proposal. Of course it was late, I had more to drink than all of the girls combined and there was that revealing game of poker that illustrated how much further others were willing to go without a testament to their feelings. Ah, those were the days of wine and roses.

I probably shouldn't answer this question, because I wouldn't call it "sweet" but it was the best. It expressed WHO I AM, the ME. In a card: "...because even when you are down & out, you still can laugh. I get a kick out of that. I think about you all the time, & this is the part of your personality, the part that I see & hear." This was followed by an e-mail from someone else, who said: "You ALWAYS make me laugh!" Can't think of a better compliment. But, you're a romantic, bigbearqu, aren't you????

my boyfriend.. he wrote me smthn ( The way that I feel when you're by my side,

a sense of completion and overflowing pride.

The dreams that I dream, that all involve you,

the possibilities I see and the things we can do.

How you finish the puzzle that lies inside my heart,

how that deep in my soul, you are the most important part.

I could go on for days, telling of what I feel,

but all you really must know is my love for you is real. )

I had a really close male friend (not quite a boyfriend) and we were spending time together one night and he told me "I need you to survive"....and he was saying that not only did he need me to hang in there, but that he needed me in order for him to live as well. I don't know...that is the SWEETEST thing that anybody..male/female...has ever said to me.

The sweetest thing anyone ever said to me was when I was holding my three year old grand daughter on my lap, with her sweet little head on my chest, and she looked up at me and said " I wuv you, Grampa."

I'm still waiting for that day. There was a girl who liked me, but she never dared to say the sweetest three words to me.

I am a nanny......(about a year now).....the four year old boy crawled up in my lap one day, put his hands on my face, turned me toward him, and said, so sincerely....."Boy, it sure took you a long time to get here."

(i think that's kids speak for 'where you been all my life'
