Can men be raped by women?
Hi guys! I'm not a pervert and this is not for my twisted and sick pleasure. My boyfriend and soulmate Tony and I disagree on whether or not men can be raped by women. I think they can and have been raped by women, he thinks that the men must be wanting attention or exacting revenge on the women. He just doesn't think it's possible!
Just to clear a few definitions up, 'rape' - involuntary and unwilling act of sexual intercourse committed (penis in vagina), in this case - from a woman to a man. It's a question of 'can', not 'want to'.
So, how the penis becomes erect; how it stays erect; how the woman is physically capable of committing the act, all that information - (for those of you who just want a forum to slander and shout abuse - this is not it) backed up by reliable sources (i.e. websites; books; articles), please answer if you know. Please don't just answer things like: 'Yes' and 'Well, duh'.
Thank you all for your time & effort! Your answers are much appreciated!

Yes, men can be raped by women. Rape is classified as a victim being unable or unwilling to consent to sex. A man can be raped if he is:
1) impaired by drugs or alcohol
2) under the age of consent (16-18 in most states)
3) physically handicapped or limited
4) physically forced or coerced by a woman
The last one is the hardest for most people to believe, but it does happen, because most people believe that if a man did not want to have intercourse that he would not be sexually aroused. This simply is not true. A man can be erect due to nerves, drugs, or other means and a perpetrator can take advantage of that.
I am a rape crisis counselor and I have had male clients. Though statistically more perpetrators are male (whether the vics are male or female), there are cases that classify as male rape by a female perpetrator. Though many of the men I have seen have been very reluctant to press charges or seek services because of embarrassment due to the stereotype that men can not be raped.

Well I have had this discussion with my boyfriend as well...and he explained to me that the penis can get hard just from friction and stimulation...that's is purpose in life really (aside from going to the bathroom), so the man's head does not have to be in the process for the penis to get hard and for sex to take place...What makes it difficult for men to claim rape is that how do you prove that the guy was not enjoying it? Basically it all comes down to the fact that the penis getting hard and even staying hard is not a sexual act, its just a body function brought on by friction. I am sure rapes of men do happen (by women) but I think they are reluctant to come forward and tell anyone since it would seem like they were into it if they had an erection. I wish I had some sites or books for you, but check out college textbooks in the criminal justice field...that was my major in college and this issue was addressed in those books a little bit. I think a lot more research needs to be done in this area so we as a society better understand how it can happen and acknowledge that it does in fact happen...then male victims will feel more comfortable about coming forward. If you like CSI there was an episode dealing with this topic...not sure what season it was though. A male stripper was raped by a bachelorette party.

Men rape women for these reasons - lust, unreciprocated love, revenge etc. It is a way to punish women & show that men are more powerful. Such men have no respect for women. Women too rape men. But such cases are very less. Usually a woman alone cannot rape a full grown man. She needs the help of other girls. But a woman alone can rape if the victim is a young boy. Usually such cases do not make headlines as they go unreported. In some cases the men enjoy being the victim or do not report for the fear of embarrassment. But some cases do get reported & such women are punished. When women are raped there is the risk of being brutally injured, becoming pregnant, or even murdered. Survivors are traumatized. In Indian society there are people who also make the life hell of such rape victims by passing bad comments on them. Such women cannot even get married. Some such women get so depressed that they commit suicide. When men get raped most people don't think it is a big loss. But there are victims who get traumatized. Then there are cases where men rape other men & young boys too. You see Evil comes in all forms.

Yes, men can be raped by women. For example, though it is uncommon, some women are naturally very tall and/or muscular and can physically overpower men, particularly if the woman's a bodybuilder.
If you look up 'female bodybuilder' on Google Images, ask yourself if the average man would stand any chance in a struggle.
Additionally, if a woman drugs him into unconsciousness and handcuffs/chains him to the rungs of a bed, there's nothing he can do. :/

Simple answer: YES
My closest friend is male and he was raped once by his then girlfriend, he was blacked out at the time.
Rape in it's most basic definition is forced sex. Also in some countries forcing an object, not just a body part, into *certain places* is classed as rape, or sleeping with someone under a certain age may count as rape. So in such countries if a woman did that to a male she would be raping him.

Yeah they can. But what punk out there let a woman rape them unless they are a child. You are embarrassed if you a grown man raped by a woman but I'm sure its happened they are just ashame to admit it. But now, if the penis is erect then isn't the man turned on in a way?

Yes! But how many men would be willing to come forward and admit they were raped by a woman?

yes, men can be raped by women. However, laws in certain countries such as the US and UK have defined rape as forced penetration ...not forced to penetrate . Forced to penetrate is classified as sexual assault . Hence, the very low statistics on the rape of men. Research has shown that if forced to penetrate was classified as rape, and men were encouraged to come forward about the rape in the same way women are, then statistics for female on male rape would be just as high as male on female rape.

Technically Not, in most cases of rape the victim is awake and as men are genetically stronger than women that is not going to happen, and not to forgot women are not as hungry for sex as men
