How do you deal with stress?

Ever feel like you are going to implode? What do you do personally to get yourself through and be able to deal? Without hurting the ones you love? Any personal experiences will help. Thanks in advance!

I can usually laugh in the face of a stressful situation, but once I am out of it I seem to be over come with depression and rage. I used to punch holes in the walls. Now I write as an outlet for stress and anger. I've also come to know my own personal stress handling level, what I cannot go beyond.

In through your nose, hold for a second, out through your mouth. Repeat. Hard to get others to do, but actually changes body chemistry, blood pressure, heart rate, etc. Also, physical activity is the mainstay of long term stress reduction. Work it out.

    By helping others.

We run a ministry visiting rest and nusring homes and sick people in hospice and home health ect.

Devote time to helping the truly needed people (ages from infants to the 100's) who seldom get family visits(some never) .

Its not pushing religions but singing and carrying fruits and talking to far more stresses out and depressed souls..

They bless us more than we bless them.

we also visits hospitals and homes when invited,

pity parties are self induced at times.

    take a look around you.

There is a lot you can do..for others and yourself.

    good luck.

I work as an interpreter, which can be very stressful. Last week, I was taught about square breathing which really helps:

Breathe in through your nose for a count of 5

    Hold for 5

Breathe out through your mouth for a count of 5

    Hold for 5

    repeat

Oh and talk to someone about how you're feeling!

    Good luck!
