In the Cory Lidle coverage, are they doing the other dead man justice?

I did not even try to watch it. It got to the point where every single news channel was talking about some base ball pitcher. No disrespect to the man but there are more people who die more tragically than that. And like you said the man next to him did not even have the courtesy of being identified by all these attention hungry reporters. Lets get coverage like that on hard working middle class or lower class citizens that die while they are working hard to feed their family. And I think if Nancy blows out her brain she will do justice to a lot of people

I don't even know who the other person is that died, what his involvement is, his name, if he has family, nothing! I've been searching for more info on him but all I see and hear is news about Lidle. It's a terrible tragedy that took the lives of TWO victims, it's a shame that it seems like we only care about one of them.

We learned Cory's name early on because the media here (NYC/Northern New Jersey) didn't wait until a next of kin wasn informed. They just ran with it. It was sickening. I would hate to think his family learned of his passing this way.

When Mayor Bloomberg (NYC) was asked for the names at a press conference this afternoon. He refused until the families were notified. Good For Him!!!!!!!!

So to answer your question.......maybe the next of kin of the other victim had not been found yet.

Unfortunatly the world is too obsessed by celebrity to care about some flying instructor. I have no idea who the famous guy was though, most UK coverage is focusing on the crash in general
