Enter the Dragon is sensational. As is Jaws and Star Wars and Jurassic Park. I've never seen Mackenna's Gold.

First things first...I've never heard of Mackennas Gold, so I'll just brush over that one. And I'm not really a fan of martial arts movies, so I'll pass on Enter The Dragon too.

Jaws - Looks a little dated now, but if I was seeing it for the first time, it'd still make me think twice before paddling in the sea. Definitely still has a shock factor, especially the bit with the kid on the inflatable raft. It's still a bit of a taboo to kill a kid in a film.

Star Wars - An eternal classic. Bought sci-fi to a wider audience than almost anything before it, except maybe Star Trek. I think the new episodes were a bit of a mistake, but the originals still keep even todays kids hooked. A genuinely groundbreaking piece of work.

Jurassic Park - Stunning. The special effects still blow my mind. You really do believe that there is a T-Rex running around trying to eat the cast! I'd bet that at least 99% of people, both adults and children, get a little shiver when the kids are being hunted by the Velociraptors. And I think that the way the whole dinosaur cloning subject was handled, it made the whole business seem almost plausible which added a great deal to the shock factor.
