I work out 6days a week for 1.5hrs,eat1500 cals or less and my weight does not budge. Why?
I have recently been on medical steroids due to sickness and during that time I gained about 25lbs. Well, I've been off of the steroids for a solid 3months and picked back up my regular exercise regimine within these past three months. Since I have returned to exercising, I have cut calories but I'm not losing weight. Good Gosh!!!!!!!!!!!!, What's the deal?

I recently heard one thing that shocked me.... you might actually be eating too few of calories for the amount you work out. I was reading in Shape Magazine that when you work out, it is possible to not eat enough and you won't lose weight and actually might start gaining weight. That could be the case for you. From what I can remember, you are supposed to eat about 15 calories for every pound of your goal weight, so if you are aiming for 135lb you should eat about 2,025 calories. Your body has to have so many calories a day to do natural body functions and will store the rest if it's not getting enough to ensure it will have enough to do these functions. I think that's what your problem is but I'm no doctor so I don't know.

steriods take a long time to get out of your system. Also, your calorie intake is much too low. add another 500 calories at least for that type of activity. Your body is going to grab any calories it gets and store them because you're not eating enough. Are you just doing cardio or are you doing weight training as well. Make sure you do both. You also don't mention how long you'e been back at the gym. It does take time to see results, especially if you're building muscle. (the scale won't change, but your pants will start to get loose)

I worked as a weight loss counselor for two years. A major reason clients don't loss weight is they are not drinking enough
water. As a man you should be drinking at least 100oz of water a
day. Water is necessary for the human metabolism. Simply put h2o breaks into hydrogen ions and oxygen ions during chemical metabolism. The oxygen ion combines with the fat molecule to chemically "burn" or breakdown the fat cell. Think in these terms if you have a wooden log you are burning and you throw a blanket over it, it will stop the fire because the oxygen source is exhausted. The fat cell needs oxygen to burn or metabolize. This oxygen comes from drinking water. Drink as much water as possible. At least 100 oz a day. Make sure it's just plain h2o not pop and not other liquids. And don't drink alcohol while trying to loss weight. If you are going to drink alcohol while trying to loss weight only drink one day a week. Alcohol slows the chemical metabolism of the human body.

You have plateaued. You have to start doing something different because your body will not respond as long as it keeps being fed the same thing. Try a different workout routine, and try eating different foods and different amounts of calories each day. Change it up a little and you will see a change.

A lot of times you won't see a weight change with exercise, since you are now building muscle.

Well you may not be losing weight, but I bet you are very healthy. Don't give up it is all worth it in the long run. I wish I had that sort of dedication.

There are quite a few possibilities.. hormonal imbalance, thyroid issues.. your best bet is to talk with your doctor.
