Aren't the Saturday business hours of the post office about the most ridiculous thing you ever saw?

They are the government, civil service, unionized, and a monopoly.

If my company provided poor service to you, you would take your business elsewhere.

It won't be long, I'm sure. E-mail has devastated the Postal Service by vastly reducing the volume of letters. All the on-line bill paying has had the same effect. The recession has taken out a lot of the advertising volume. In short, it's a triple whammy, and the Postal Service is on track to lose $7 billion this year, despite a 2 cent increase in the price of postage. The situation will only get worse in the future as more and more people and businesses go on-line. If they stop Saturday service, it won't be long before we're down to three deliveries a week, and once a week service will be where it all ends.

My stays open till 12:00 but I do see your reasoning on this.

why can't they deliver my mail to the correct address and ensure that the mailbox door goes shut so that it doesn't get wet or blow down the street?

yeah...and not only can they get by with delivering your mail to the wrong address...you just try sending a letter that is off by one number on the address and see how fast they return it to you. unbelievable!

go during the week, postal peeps need some relaxation, haven't you ever heard of people going postal, all they need is to work more.....
