starting the pill...when exactly do I start taking the first pill?
I saw my doctor a few weeks ago and I think he said to start taking the pills on the Sunday after I get my period...So I got my period this Friday so does mean I take the first pill tomorrow....or do I wait for my period to be over and start next Sunday (which I don't think is correct)...it's just been so long since I've been on the pill that I forget...Since I've had my period for a few days now I am assuming that I start the pill tomorrow to start changing my cycle....do you girls think that is correct?
I know I should've called my doctor to confirm but I didn't...(and now it is too late)

You should start it tomorrow, this Sunday. I recently went back on the pill, and I was supposed to start on the Sunday after the beginning of my period, even if it meant starting on the first or second day of it.
It's really not going to hurt you, whichever day you start. In fact, many women do things like skipping periods for special occasions (or even for most of the year) by skipping the sugar pills. Doctors don't have a problem with that, and some even recommend it, so really, I don't think you should have any issues.

There are 2 methods: The Sunday Start method and the 1st Day Start method. Your doctor recommended the Sunday start method, which means that in fact you will start your pills tomorrow.
Please BE SURE to use an alternate method of birth control till your next cycle/period. You SHOULD be protected after the 2nd week, but don't risk it.
In the alternative, you would have started taking your pills the 1st day of your period. This would have guaranteed protection against pregnancy.

Definitely begin it this Sunday.
You'll need to take the pill for a full cycle before you are assured maximum protection. Use back up protection until you begin your next pack.

you start taking them next Sunday. It is too soon take them 2 days after your period, it could screw up your system.

take it this sunday because when you take it this sunday it will start to protect you from pregnancy by the time you get your next period.do not wait until the following sunday it will screw you up and you will not be protected against pregnancy
