I would like to believe that the public is ready for a black president, but I don't think it is. In any case, He is very young and probably should get more political experience. On the other hand, he is exceptionaly bright and seems to be very insightful. I would vote for him if he were a candidate. These next 2 years may just tell the tale.

What you assert approximately black activists can be stated approximately Hispanic activists, gay activists, Asian activists and assurance activists. that's to assert that those activists communicate in basic terms for their particular demographic and hardly for the rustic as an entire. President Obama has taken steps to handle problems with sophistication as unfavorable to those of race, especially because of the fact there is quite little that separates a white kin earning $32;000/3 hundred and sixty 5 days from that of a black kin earning the comparable. once you're asking why the president isn't utilising his place of work to single out the black community for preferential treatment, then the question you ask interprets to "Why isn't the president racist?" wherein case, I could desire to ask, is racism as characteristic you go mutually with black human beings, or presidents?

Sorry, I do not think the mentality of the current administration or it's midline followers will support/elect Mr. Obama- He has my vote as he had in the past, but sad to say from what I have heard coming from the mouths of small minded people in all political parties, I am in the minority. So my answer to your question is no. This will not however, deter me from supporting him or campaigning for him.
And yes I am in Illinois

You mean the people who voted for Bush? No they are clearly too stupid to vote for someone as intelligent as Obama.

No but he's not running yet. Hes got charisma but is somewhat still establishing himself, give it a few years then he may stand a chance, if he decides he want to run.

he think he will have more of a fighting chance once he serves his second term in the senate. that way he will have a more established background on the federal level.

No, the asker isn't racist for asking this question. But the question is very condescending. "Enlightened enough" .....? Sheesh!
