    5 = 1 x 5

    60 = 1 x 2 x 2 x 3 x 5

    HCF* = product of the common factors

    = 1 x 5

    = 5

    LCM** = product of numbers/HCF

    = 5 x 60/5

    = 60

    * HCF = highest common factor

    ** LCM = least common multiple

    60 because 60 is a multiple of 5 and and 60 (5x12=60), (60x1=60)

    5 = 5*1

    60 = 2*2*3*5

    LCM = 5*2*2*3 = 60
