Stop looking. I already found the worlds best stroller. Its by kolcraft, called the contour. I'll send you a link. You have to buy it through target or walmart, online.

Its waaaaaay worth it. Target has about 9 reviews on it, it got the highest reviews of all their strollers.

The price is cheaper than the jeep stroller, and its more effective, better, more useful, and the warrenty is awesome. They replace the whole damn thing if it cant be fixed.

Any major car seat carrier fits on it, the seat can face mom or away, the sun cover is actually long enough to cover the baby from sun, the front wheel locks or unlocks for jogging or getting around the stores. The under carriage carry space is HUGE, you can grocery shop in it, it holds a ton of stuff.

The only draw back with this stroller is that is weighs about 10 pounds more than most strollers. But everyone seems to find it a fair trade for all it does.

I've heard terrible things about the Jeep brand...cute but fall apart. It really depends on what style your sister wants and where she lives. If she lives in the burbs she might want more of a carriage...I suggest Peg Perego. If she lives in the city she will want something more compact, I suggest Maclaren. I would also suggest getting a stroller that can be used from newborn and up. Many like to simply attach the car seat...but I preferred to take my baby out of the carseat and put them in a stroller. A jogging stroller is big and bulky and only some mother's like them. I'm a stroller junkie...I love my peg perego but gave it to my cousin since I was moving to Costa Rica, I then bought the Maclaren Techno XT and LOVE IT. I now also have a double Mountain Buggie.

Even if you're not planning on going for long walks, strollers can be very helpful. The car seat gets very heavy, and the stroller makes it a lot easier to do errands. The best stroller for a newborn is the snap n'go. You can pop the car seat out of the car and snap it onto the stroller. It also has a great basket.

I agree with what another person said, talk to your sister!!

It depends on how she will use the stroller. I have two...one is the Bugaboo Frog and it is AWESOME, consistently rated high by consumers and will work from newborn to whenever she decides to stop pushing the baby around. It works in snow and sand and I LOVE IT!!

The other is a Combi DX and it is the stroller I take when I travel. It folds up very nicely and has a carrying strap. It's lightweight and handles great.

    Congrats on becoming an uncle!

What a lucky baby to have family that will love her!

ANy of the strollers out there are good nowadays.....

but it depends on what you're looking for and what is important for you......kind of like buying a car....

colour, style, easy to open and close, not too heavy, how much room does it take up in a trunk, how much storage does it have.....does it have a cup holder....what age can the baby ride up to.....does it have a car seat included or do you have to buy it separately?

The most average one out there that everyone has is a GRACO

then you go up higher tot he PEG PEREGO strollers....

and if you want to go all out like the celebrities and blow a big wad of cash....go buy the BUGABOO stroller....for like $1,000 or more!!

Lots to choose out there but you should take your sister and see what she likes.......test them all.....

Also just another thought......I had a GRACO as a gift from my baby shower....but by 6 monts my daughter hated that stroller....

so we ended up buying a MACLAREN umbrella stroller.....which she loves......and it's so much smaller and lighter than the Graco.

So keep in mind.....this stroller may not last forever.......and she might want an umbrella stroller.......

    AND

what happens when she has baby #2.....you might have to get a double stroller.........

    right??

    so plan it out.........

or get a crib that converts into a toddler bed to a day bed....

those cost quite a bit but at least you know it will last forever.....

I think any stroller that you can attach the infant seat to is good. When I had my son we didn't get one of these and I wish we had it makes thing much easier in the beginning because you don't have to take the baby our of the car seat you just attach it to the stroller. Then when the baby is older it can sit in the stroller without the infant car seat. There are alot of options if you check on target or the Wal-Mart website and they usually have reviews written by people who have purchased them.

  • I really like Maclaren strollers. You should talk to your sister, though. Some people want the big to-do, the carriage, car seat stroller all in one thing. I didn't because it was too huge and cumbersome. Lots of people like that though. If she's like me she might want something small and simple and easy to get in and out of the car. Talk to her so you can get an idea what she wants. There are SOOO many and it would be a shame to get her something that was opposite whst she had in mind, you know?

I also really, really love the Kolkraft stroller BUT I think the best thing you can do is take your sister shopping and let her pick one out. Way to go! You are going to be a great Uncle!!

When we were shopping for a stroller I really like the way the Eddie Bauer ones looked. They were very stylish but a bit pricey. So we went to Toys R Us and found an Evenflo one for much cheaper. When we compared the 2, we found that the Evenflo one was easier and lighter to push.

So bottom line, when shopping for one look for what will be easier to push and what comparments will be most useful. Make appearance the last of importance!

Check to see if your sister is registered at a gift registery, she might have taken the guess for you out of the whole stroller process. Here are some stores that have baby registeries.

Walmart, Toys R Us, Babbies R Us, Target, JC Pennies, Kmart, and Sears
