I forgot to change my info. Yahoo is composed of fascist bastards. My wonderful "fans" kept reporting my activities, and instead of following through with my disputes yahoo instead insisted that I was at fault. If they wont allow freedom of speech, or the common decency to allow someones opinions to be expressed when its in line with the question then I have no business here. I have stopped using Yahoo, and I suggest everyone else does too. We're not mindless oppressed idiots from some communist country, we're intelligent people who can discuss, share, ask, and answer on a public forum without paid cronies making personal dicisions about whether we meet their inturpritations of the "community guide lines". Aside from my Flickr account which I paid for, I have closed all my accounts and stopped using Yahoo's services. Which is too bad for them as I also got my family to stop using it as well for all their web hosting needs and advertising. STOP USING YAHOO. Have some pride.

  • Why are there suddenly uniformed Army personnel in my VERY rural village? And neighboring villages?

Once in a while, in the next major town (30 miles away) we'll see the blue uniformed personnel because there's a base there. However, unless someone is deploying we've NEVER had men in uniform here. These are villages of 800-1200 people. They are in huge 15 passenger us government vans. What gives?

  • Can a pregnancy test accidentally detect ovulation?

I just got a positive pregnancy test for no good reason. I took it because I was about to start a new medication and as a habit I always take one, no matter what, just to be safe. This is day 16 (of 38), i ovulate today, which my CM says should be right. So WHY WHY WHY did I get a positive? Maybe the test if faulty?

  • Check engine light on in '05 grand caravan, when tested all that comes up is "transmission" ?

I took it to someone else, and they told me that the tires might be causing the differential and transmission issues.

and also, the van has traction control which is always on- not sure if that changes things.

  • My husband has an infected intestine from eating a peanut?

He just went to the clinic and came back with some insane antibiotic for something he doesnt have symptoms of.

He said it was dybarticulitis? Apparently he had a slight cold and ate a peanut which carried the virus to his gut where in the matter of 24 hours created a severe infection.

They took blood but didnt wait for the results to see if that indeed is the issue. I looked it up online and all that i can find it divarticulits (sp?) which you actually have to be TEST for extensively to know if you have it.

He has just regular flu symptoms, a fever, the runs, nausia but not throwing up, achey and tired. He did have a cold before, and then this set in yesterday.

He's not aching on one side of his body, he's not sore to the touch in his belly, he eats well and has an excellent exercise routine, and he's not over 50... nothing matches up with the symptoms of what theyre treating him for...

He always acts soooo sick and exaggerates his symptoms, but when asked, he has NONE for this...

  • Is it expensive to license a name brand onto your product?

I sew baby slings and I want to slap a name on them before that name gets used up on something else.

Does anyone know how to go about doing that, and does it cost much to do it?

  • Capital gains tax on the sale of a home, what can be done to avoid them?

My parents bought this (in NY state) home in 00 for 48k. They lived here year round until march of 06 until they become residents of MO. Theyre selling it to us for 95k (still below value). Is there any way to avoid paying large capital gains taxes on their part?

If it makes a difference theyre gifting us 25k of the sale price (our loan will NOT allow for it in a sellers concession, so it is a gift)

Any accountants advice would be awesome :)

  • Remember being a teenager and thinking "Adults are so exagerative" when they talked about the real world?

Dont you want to go back now and beat yourself with a bat for being so stupid?

For actually thinking life would be simple and not complicated?

Sorry, I just had to vent for a second. We're in the middle of buying a house and God almighty if it could be simple everyone envolved would die, I am certain.

HOW HARD IS IT TO WRITE A CHECK AND SIGN A DEED?!

    AHHHH.

And I even WORK as a real estate agent. Holy crap.

  • Where is the van cortland park valve chamber?

I've been pouring over google earth and virtual earth trying to spot it. I found the treatment plant site, in the south-eastern area of the park- across from the cemetary, but I cannot for the life of me locate the valve chamber.

I know its nearly 250 feet below ground, but there has to be a building or something that allows access.

Iam writing a book about nuclear war survivors who end up living in the van cortland valave chamber, since iam not IN nyc I use the earth programs to see it so its realistic when I describe the area...

All I can find in the northern part of the park in the area that seems right is a big greenhouse looking place, with what seems to be potted plants and shrubs for the golf course I guess...

    Any ideas?

  • Panic attacks after exercise, eating, or a stressful day, and ONLY at night...?

The women in my family are noted for having panic attacks. Cardiovascularly they have NO issues. My heart has been tested, all through my life (they thought I had rhuematic fever as a child, so they watched me like a hawk).

However, without knowing that for a fact myself, and anyone else around me, would be CONVINCED iam having a heart attack any time after I exercise (which i havent done much of as this has only started to happen since I had my son 12 months ago), oe after I eat a big meal and then laugh, or just laugh real hard for the hell of it, or if Ive have a rough day, especially if it envolved eating sugar and or caffeine.

But the thing is these attacks ONLY happen at night, once iam sitting down. Or going to bed. Or in bed.

Its really driving me mad. Theres nothing physically wrong with me. I have no heart disease, my BP is healthy, my heart is healthy the rest of me is healthy "as a horse" to quote the doctor.

Why cant I just feel okay? Its starting to run my life...

  • Question about the legality of gifting money from the sale of a home.?

We are buying my parents house for what they owe (70k), plus the equity built into it (40k) for a total of 110k. The loan we have only allows for so much as a sellers concession, and I dont think its that much.

Am I right in my belief that if we did no sellers concession at all, bought the house, and they received their money (110k) that its theres to do what they want to with, like go ahead and gift us 40k from the sale of their home?

It is their money after all, the loan company cannot just turn around and tell them what to do with it, right? My parents want to go that route, but theyre concerned it might not be legal. Iam convinced it is.

Obviously we're going to talk with our lawyer about it, but we havent yet.

  • Why am I just a horrible person?

I swear to God I cannot stop talking about other people. All the stupid things they do. Granted they really are stupid things, but still, who the HELL am I to take notice of them? Or to share them with my friends?

I honestly think I must have a disease. I am such an asshead.

Dont you ever have times where just just really REALLY hate yourself more than usual?

    Man I suck.
