Why is my mailbox bouncing incoming messages? This has been going on for @ least 2 months now!?

Incoming messages are being bounced & undelivered to my mailbox & I need to know why this is happening?

Senders apparently get a message stating that the recipient email address is not a valid yahoo account (cazbeylis@yahoo.co.uk).

How is this possible?

This is an urgent matter and your immediate responsive action is appreciated!

Probably, because those messages are being filtered.

Very few messages are simply lost in transit. Please make sure that your recipient has not received your message. It may be that the recipient has simply not yet had a chance to respond to you.

If you are certain that your message was not properly delivered, then there are several reasons why this may have occurred.

The message was never actually sent. The only way to actually send a message is to click the "Send" button. Occasionally, it happens that a user will finish composing a message and then visit another site without actually clicking the "Send" button. After clicking the "Send" button, look for the Mail Sent confirmation page that appears after clicking on the "Send" button to know that your email message has been sent successfully.

The message was saved as a draft. Clicking on "Save as a Draft" button on the compose screen will not send your message. Clicking on "Save as a Draft" will cause the messaged to be saved in your Draft folder. The only way to send your message is to click on the "Send" button.

As a sender, what can I do to ensure that my email goes to the inbox?

Remove email addresses that bounce. Bounces (also known as "non-delivery notifications") are an indication that the mail could not be delivered because the user does not exist, no longer exists, or is unable to accept your email. List managers should remove addresses that generate bounces.

The message was not addressed properly. You may have accidentally entered a different email address than the one you intended. This can sometimes happen if you type a different email address by mistake, or if you enter a typo in the email address which then turns out to be the valid email address of another user. In both cases, your message would have been properly delivered and you would not have received an error message.

The message was delayed. Most messages are delivered within a few minutes, but messages can sometimes be delayed while in transit due to heavy Internet traffic or routing problems. (On rare occasions, delays can last for several hours or more.)

Other possibilities. Occasionally, interruptions or disruptions in email transmissions over the Internet will render your message undeliverable. While this is very rare, it does happen. Unfortunately, aside from waiting, there is no way to know for certain whether a message has been delayed or whether it has been rendered undeliverable. The best solution in the latter case is to re-send your message.

Saving a copy of your message.

We recommend that you always save a copy of important outgoing mail to your Sent folder. Saving a copy of your message will make it very easy for you to review or re-send the message, should the need arise.

To enable this option for all messages that you send:

Click the "Mail Options" link located near the top-right side of the page.

Click the "General Preferences" link located under the middle column.

Place a check in the box next to " Save your sent messages in the Sent Items folder."

Click the "Save" button near the top of the window to put your new settings into effect.

Yahoo! Mail will then save a copy of each outgoing message into your Sent folder.
