I would pay $250.I am patient enough to wait until stores restock. I don't need to overpay and get it the day it comes out.

There WILL be shortages in highly populated areas, as well as on large Internet dealers (Amazon, etc). If you plan to get one this year for retail price, preorder if at all possible. Otherwise, expect to pay somewhere in the range of $500 - $700 for the Wii, and premiums on any accessories you want as well. Shortly after Christmas, however, the system will be in stock everywhere, so don't pay more than you can afford.

I wouldn't pay any more for it there than I would in the store. As much as I love the system and can't wait to have it, there is no need to do something drastic and stupid like spend 6-7 hundred bucks on something like that.
Same goes for people who bought the 360 for over 2 or 3 thousand bucks and same thing for people who plan to buy and sell the PS3

I wouldn't buy it online. The Wii won't have the supply problems that the 360 had and the PS3 will have (400,000 units nationwide), so there shouldn't be a real bad shortage in stores.

It would not be necessary to over pay. The Wii will not have shortage problems. They are shipping 4 million units the first week (two shipments). So if you don't get one on launch chances are that you will get it a week later.

If I had an income I would pay at the most 500 dollars. Double the original price. But since I don't I wouldn't.
