How do you pan for Gold?
I live in tallapoosa county alabama and am interested in learing to pan for gold. I have purchased a pan, a "sucker" bottle, and some glass vials. Where do I go and what do I do next? Maybe someone experienced in panning.... Please help....

You are in luck. You are in a good area. You are about to begin a fun ,healthy and rewarding hobby. I have been a prospector for 16 years or so. I live in South Carolina. Go to this site www.49ermike.com when you get there click on the link "where to find gold" click on Alabama and also Tallapoosa county. This is a whole page of places to go in your county.This site has a large forum also. Other sites of interest are www.gpaa.com /weekendgoldminers.com/ and www.goldgold.com these are many good sites with tons of information.
