GLBT only answer this! How long is Yahoo going to let this crap continue?

Randy I totally agree with what you said. I don't know how much longer I can put up with it all.

I wish they could go....but dont forget that Yahoo answers has so many users, and hatred is in all sections. There are thousands of reports daily, I mean, people report someone just for disagreeing with them.

The yahoo staff simply cant cope with it (at least I hope so).

Besides, the haters are not established users, they have multiple accounts and if they get suspended they simply make a new one. There is no way to control them, unless they use a filter or bot that will filter out any question that has bad words in it. But by simply putting a dot or a dash in between letters you can still get away with it.

So the best way to stop them is to simply ignore them. I know it is not easy, I cant ignore them all the time, I cant always keep my temper and say nothing. Also, when a question is posted it goes through the main page too, so anyone with common sense will attack them and they still get what they want (attention) since they dont bother to check each user individualy.

I have had the same question deleted twice a while ago.

Its so ironic. There was no insult or swearing, I just said why people bash us. Apparently just one report can have it deleted...I am starting to believe that Yahoo! answers is nurturing homophobia...we have people calling us fa.gs but their questions are still there...now we dont even have the freedom to post our questions in our SECTION. Well done Yahoo!

I don't respond to them, and the only ones I bother to report are ones that are threatening violence.

However, I have come to a choice here. I would like to continue participating, I've gotten enough feedback to know that there is something I have to offer on some subjects. But it is a complete waste of my time to struggle to find real questions. I am going to see if I can locate the actual customer service number or email and start complaining through that. Obviously nothing is happening through the abuse link on Yahoo Answers.

I wanted to add that I think ignoring or blowing off(sorry its early, no coffee yet, couldn't resist), most of the morons playing games on here is the best practice. My only real concern are the ones threatening violence. I think they need to be held accountable at every turn.

Now, now, Randy, settle down and come and have a nice cup of tea. I know it looks like Yahoo hates us but they really don't. They're in the tenuous position of trying to run a bunch of boards that should have free speech; but in the meantime a small bunch of idiots are abusing that privilege. It happens all the time. There's always going to be that same bunch who try to ruin it for everyone just in their own pathetic search for attention (negative or otherwise). *We're* the responsible adults. WE have to take the time to report which ever answers violate the Yahoo guidelines. It's a big hassle and it does take away from our time to have "fun"..and recently even I've thought about giving up but keep plodding on. LGBT questions belong in this area. Hatred doesn't. Like someone said a few days ago "I feel sorry for newbies who come in here". There's young adults and children here. Like I said before, we're supposed to be adults. Let's pull together and act like it. Blessings, my darling, and patience.

I'm not gay but I have to say that this world is full of cruel ignorant people. Trust me, this isn't the only section in Yahoo that's getting bashed. You see a lot of low levels of mentality and maturity here. Focus your energy on the positive people and let the negative people roll off your shoulder. They aren't worth your time. I find it hard to get angry at someone that has no common sense or isn't educated on the subject they're trying to comment on.

I just wish all the homophobes would just come out of the closet and accept their sexuality. It is getting to be a bit much though, and I really don't know how much longer I can put up with it, but I will keep in touch with my friends on my 360 and you are one of them. Just like White Rose she's knocked up by some guy at school, not married, I can only hope and pray that her kid grows up to be a big HOMO as everone else puts it.

Yahoo doesn't hate anybody, they just made a section for LGBT. Sadly, this category draws psuedo-homophobes to it like their beady little redneck eyes to Pam Anderson's boobs. I doubt there is anything we can do about the trolls, exept deal with it ourselves and not through Yahoo. My answer? Well done put-downs. I mean, clever flaming is hilarious. So your saying gay people are the only ones attacked and bashed? Or are you saying gay people are the only ones that cant take the heat and need protected by Yahoo. A lot of people get bashed on here. As a christian conservative, I can't tell you how many questions and answers I see that, if believed, would mean I am the worst human being to ever walk the earth.

I agree with you! Maybe I'm paranoid... but it does seem that way. In any case, I've found that a lot of people have some good advice on here. You have to weed through the nonsense, but there are some good and helpful people on here.

I have spent the last 3 days reporting violations...I have gotten emails from yahoo saying they are investigationing...It is getting better....I started to report on Monday or Tues and the next day it was a lot better...Olga and her friends have been gone...

based on my observation, yahoo is deleting some of the homophobic questions (all the questions from olga that i answered are gone). i guess there is just TOO MANY of them that yahoo cant catch up. we just have to keep on reporting them. or better yet, completely ignore their questions. if absolutely no one bother to answer, they will go away.
