Is it true that steak rots in your stomach before you pass it?

Heard on Oprah not to sure, just want to know if that is still good for you if it has to rot in your stomach before you pass it.

    That's rubbish. That crap is spread by the vegans trying to get gullible people on their side of the fence. The time of food passage..from ingestion to elimination can be anywhere from 12 hrs to a couple of days depending on the person. Remember that Oprah has her own agenda and guests on her show are there to back her point of view.

    no, the steak is broken down by stomache acids and digestive enzymes. this is not the same thing as "rot". that is a lie spread by the militant vegan community to try to make their lifestyle more palatable

    There is truth to this. The average adult dies with 10 to 15 pounds of undigested red meat in their intestines, so the anwer is YES!

    Never heard of that at all. All i know is, if you chew it well...food will stay in your stomach for a maximum of 5 hours...the rest is being excreted or stored as fats.

    That's true according to Dr. Oz and other gastric intestinal doctors. All meat red, chicken, pork. But meat red is more likely to need more time (days).

    Yes, to a certain extent - but it won't stop me from eating a good filet.
