This is for washer and appliance questions?

No one can give a good answer, Only speculation if you don't include the brand name of the appliance. You have plenty of space to better explain the problem. Don't just say(MY WASHER DOSEN'T RUN. WHAT COULD BE WRONG.) You are only going to get a stupid answer if you ask a stupid question. SORRY, I HAD TO VENT.

If it doesn't pump water out or spin, check to see if the motor is running, then proceed as follows: * If the motor is running, your washer probably has a frozen pump pulley or a broken pump belt. To check the pulley, remove the pump from the washer and try to rotate the pulley manually. If it doesn't turn freely--if it's frozen or stiff--replace it. If the pump belt is broken or looks quite worn, replace it--but be sure to check the pump pulley before you change the belt. * If the motor isn't running, the lid switch may be defective. If so, the washing machine can't spin and may not function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washing machine to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it. If you can't do this yourself then call someone who can help you out. If you have the money to spend, the washer is 16 years old, you got pretty good use out of it. My parents have a washer thats 32 years old. Of course there were also problems with it that had to be repaired. If you have the time, then tackle it.

you can give good general answers to questions like that as people want general answers to their questions. like for instance your washer drum not turning on washer. maybe the connector from the motor to the transmission is broken, costs a bout 20 bucks or so to buy new one or the belt is off put it back on. no one can give direct answers cause they can't see the real problem or causes or the fact some idiot doesn't have the thing plugged in. I had a drunk idiot tenant once who complained the TV didn't work. they didn't have it plugged in!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just answer the best you can on here or let them know they are dumb call them as you see them, but vent on them not to all of us who are trying to help those in real need!!!!!!!! seriously i had to vent too!
