Why not Mr. Bush?

Why does bush refuse to talk to the leaders of NK and Iran,

Bilateral discussions are the best way to get things done, not third party

Thanks for your opinion

Because the only stick we have against these counties are military force. Are you saying that the US should invade these countries to put a stop to what they are doing?

With regard to iran, their nuclear plans are most a threat to the rest of the muslim world, but only in the short term. They plan to invade their neighbors and "unify" islam by force under their iron fisted control. The nukes are to prevent the western world from intervening (as it has done in the past). The best leverage against this is the cooperation of the other muslim neighbors to isolate iran and wall them off.

With regard to North Korea, China has the only real leverage against them. And China is terrified of a nuclearized Japan and/or South Korea. Bringing these guys to the table will put tremendous pressure on China to stop North Korea. Of course, they seem to be planning to do this by, ummm, killing Kim Jong Il and replacing his government with one that is less insane. There is no guarentee that will work or that it won't spark a nuclear exchange between North Korea and China. To be blunt, China has absolutely no problem with killing every living thing in North Korea if they step over the line. The are nucking futz....just not as insane as North Korea lol.

But, I must say, I agree with you. The best solution to this problem is a military invasion by the US. Talking won't accomplish anything at all. And bilateral talks will inevitably lead to war. After we make an example of these two, the rest of the world will be much less inclined to repeat this insanity.

Probably because he's not intelligent enough to carry on a discussion with anyone who has an IQ above that of a rat. Bush - who served so valiantly during the VietNam War (remember his outstanding military record?) - believes the best way to get anything accomplished in the field of diplomacy is through force, ie. go to war with them. He hasn't got sense enough to realize that negotiation will win more friends than "shock and awe" bombing and sending in the troops.

because it will acomplish nothing, north korea was given the opportunity to, and they declined, now they want to. al kimmy wants to do is sling mud on america,, and be the one that took down the evil overlord america. as for as iran would be conserned, the only way they'd listen is if we gave them isreal on a silver platter. all bilateral talks with these people is nothing more than appeasment

I don't think bilateral talks have ever solved any problems.

BECAUSE BILL CLINTON DID IT AND ALL THEY WANT IS BILLIONS OF DOLLARS TO HOLD THEM OVER. WHEN THE MONEY RUNS OUT LIKE IT DID IN N.K. THEY START THEIR CRAP ALL OVER AGAIN. THEY ARE NOT HOLDING TALKS IN GOOD FAITH. PLUS N.K. AND IRAN PULLED OUT OF TALKS. SHOULD WE GO AND BEG ? SORRY I'D RATHER BOMB THEM FLAT IF THEY GET OUT OF LINE. WHY SHOULD WE BE THE ONLY ONES THAT TALK TO THEM ? THEIR ARE PLENTY OF OTHER COUNTRIES THAT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THEM BEFORE US.

Talking does nothing, they want something and we want something, when niether side is willing to compromise then it is time to go to war son!
