Can I give a 6-week old puppy a bath?
We got a japanese spitz puppy last week. It's only about 6 weeks old and still very small. He's starting to smell really bad and I want to know if it's ok to give him a bath. I'm worried coz I've read that puppies still have very low immune systems and he might get sick. Any tips on how to care for a puppy?

yes,you can,but you need to be very carefull not to get them chilled. They need to be completely dried using a soft towel moving the hair back and forth. When they are so young, I usually use a couple newborn baby wipes. This works real well. Also if you do give a bath, make sure you use puppy shampoo,as the other stuff is too harsh.

Yeah you can give a 6 week pup a bath. Just make sure you get the shampoo for puppies. Also make sure you dry the pup really good before letting him down. Another thing will help try using a small heater to hold him infront of. It will help the pup dry faster and also keep it warm.

If he is fixed you have to wait at least 6 weeks after it was done. Wal-Mart sells a puppy bath pad they look like wipes. You wipe the dog off and it will help with any smell he may have. Dogs get dry skin very easy to so don't bath to often. You can use baby shampoo and that will help to prevent dry skin.

I don't see why not, just bathe it like you would a human baby, and maybe dry it with a blow dryer so it won't be cold for it. Make sure you use puppy shampoo and make sure the bath water is warm and not cold. Hope this helps out! Make sure you also take it to get its shots when they are due. That's very important!

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aUMP7
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

Its fine to was him, just be gentle make sure the water its the correct temp luke warm. And towl dry him afterwards or use a hair dryer on a low heat. Or put the fire on and let him sleep by it!
Dont let him outside while he hasnt got any vaccintions though!

Yes, but be sure to use a very gentle or dog specific shampoo since a dog's pH is different then a person't pH.
