Please Help!?
Can anyone please tell me exactly what I need in a computer to run Sims2 and all the additional expansion packs? I bought a Dell computer a year ago and was promised that it was capable of doing that, however while I was able to install it once, and a couple of the expansion packs, the later ones would not install, and it was almost impossible to install them.
I replaced the origional game with a brand new one because Dell told me it was because of a scratch on the Sims2 cd, but obviously that wasn't true as I've never been able to get it to install again.
I don't use my computer for much of anything but games and being online, particularly email. I don't need all the media stuff or the cd burning stuff.
Ok, I thought it would be obvious that I had gone through all the steps I could. I picked the computer I have because it did match the requirements for the game. I actually installed the game once and it played fine. The problems began after adding the expansion packs, so I unistalled everything. Now I cannot even get Sims2 to install, even though I did once before. I've talked to Dell until I want to cut my throat, I've talked to EA games and Maxis. NOTHING has worked and there doesn't seem to be a reason for it. I am asking for someone to tell me EXACTLY what I need to be looking for in requirements, as I've done everything I can, and nothing has worked. Thanks for any good advice, if you can't help, please don't answer.
