what significance does praying do to your life? to whom and why do you pray?

I'm a southern baptist. I pray to God. I pray to him when I feel scared or just feel like I want to talk to him. Sometime when I'm home alone, and I feel scared I'll talk to God and he keeps me safe. Whenever I'm having trouble at school or I have a big test coming up I just ask God to lend me a small amount of his infinite wisdom. I pray to God at night, to let me be able to wake up in the morning, to keep me healthy and becuase of that I've never missed a day of school in my life (K-10th). That's 11 years for 180 days out of the year! How else would I be able to do all this if it wasn't for God? I know I definitely couldn't do it on my own.

I have no set religion, I kind of have my own. I take parts of many different religions and use them in my every day life. It all boils down to a HIGHER POWER, everything else is just details, or accessories so you can say.

I don't pray as often as I should. When something good happens I say thank you just not to any one particular being. When tribulations come I...well I guess you call it praying but I take a minute to look within myself to find the strength and courage need to face difficulties. The "Higher powers" that be have enough on their plate! If I can find the strength within myself I will. There have been times when I have need more strength and courage than I have in me. It was then that I prayed, just not to anyone in particular. I start my pray "Oh All Mighty One...."

I have clear guidance from Jesus Christ right now.. I was "attacked by the world", maybe karma. by my sin (the 7 dwarfs/spirits), by the devil which is ego-mind the one I wanna seperate from.// I do it to get the chains out from around my heart, I feel them go.. I pray pretty much constantly also to raise my vibration and renew DNA/. Try to forgive everyone and pray for forgiveness for chaining Him in like that and to show Him I need Him back and that I love Him and that I am sorry..That I do not want the devil and his chains and that I cannot understand how I got here in the first place, why I ever turned away from Him..

I pray to God and praise God and pray for the Holy Spirit (Mother God) and if I can marry my first Love (the Son)//

He is helping me and cleaning those weirdos out of my bodytemple and when they are all gone, when we are alone, then we are Home..

I am so thankful that I can go to God in prayer. There are times when I feel that no one else understands what I'm going through. God knows me better than I know myself.

I am a Christian. I worship in a Baptist Church but don't feel that Baptists have a "stranglehold" on Truth.

I speak to Heavenly Father.

He hears and answers me

when I pray in faith.

I begin by saying, "Dear Heavenly Father"

I thank him for blessings he sends.

basically what this sweet song says I do. I pray to my Heavenly Father, I thank him for my blessings, I ask for things I need and need help with, I end in "In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen."

Praying works. The power is real and our prayers are answered. Sometimes the answer doesn't come when we think it should or isn't what we wanted but it is always what we need because He knows best what we need.

i feel that you're able to get your feelings out. and say good things about the ones that you love. personally, i pray for my family and my boyfriend and his family, that they are all healthy and happy.
