is this for your dishwasher? or for washing the dishes by hand?

Don't use anything else besides dishwasher soap for your dishwasher - other soaps will produce too many bubbles and will ruin your machine.

If you are washing your dishes by hand, just add a capful or two of bleach to some hot water (Use the hotest water you can stand). If you have a greasy pan, use a little 409 cleaner or laundry soap to cut the grease. Rinse well!

Then... go buy some dish soap! :)

You can use a cap full of bleach to every gallon of hot water (as hot as you can handle it). However, if you need to scrub something off then use a little baking soda (it's known for the scouring) but don't dump it into the mixed water as it may conflict. That's how my mom has been doing dishes ever since I can remember.... Good luck.

Laundry soap. I have done that many of times. WOrks just fine, and if you are ever out of laundry soap , you can use dawn.

Use a bit of baking soda (Arm & Hammer), but rinse very well, 'cause it leaves a film if you don't. Can also be used to brush your teeth and as an under arm deodorant in addition to when you have an upset stomach!
