Do people who have a bazillion points on yahoo answers have lives?
Some of these people on yahoo answers have over 50,000 points and are like level 7. Do they do nothing but answer questions all day? Do their employers actually know that they are wasting company time adding their two cents on every question? Or my guess is that they don't have jobs to begin with. Get a life people.

Yes, they have lives ... answering questions!
It could be a shut in, using this as one means of keeping themselves occupied.
You never know, it could be user by committee ... you know, like a fraternity keeping someone online all the time answering questions ... and maybe another committee/user voting all their answers as best answer.

To be honest, I partially agree with you. I heard that one Level 7 user spent over 6 hours a day on here. However, many of their answers help people in the real world, so I'm sympathetic, but answering does take away from something they could do in the real world. So I agree, but only partially.

I dont know about others, but I enjoy answering questions. It really is a stress reliever, and also knowing that you could possibly be helping someone out. I ask myself the same question as you. Some people have moderation and know when to stop, others don't. You never know, this could be a source of happiness and enjoyment for many people. Just because you dont does not mean that everyone has to be like you. Let people express themselves. Not everyone is going to fit into your mold.

Someone's a little bitter....
You know, taking 10 minutes out of a day and answering a few questions with that...the points do add up.
Please get over yourself, and find something better to think about.

I suspect that employers are paying for the points or they are giving a lot of best answers.
