am i getting a good work out?

I'm not getting that burning sensation in my muscles like I use to.

I do feel it when I'm lifting and I feel as if I reach muscles failure, but once I'm done working out the burn goes right away.

Am I pushing hard enough?

you need to know that there is something called overload as it relates to exercising, so when you ask you sself if you're getting a good work out you need to know you present pulse rate at rest and as it relates to your age to target heart rate when exercising. This is what determines if you're getting a complete workout and not the "burning feeling" that you miss.

The average resting heart rate for an adult is between 60 and 100 beats per minute, while well-conditioned athletes can achieve between 40 and 60 beats per minute. The maximum pulse rate is 220 minus your age, and the target for a healthy pulse rate during, or just after, exercise, is 60-80% of this.

Dependind also on what it is that youu hope to achieve at the end of your routine determines the type of exercise-whether strengthening, flexibility or endurance.

Be sure your using the proper dieting when your working out. Are you doing any cardio? Try 25-35min before your workout and then intensly work one muscle group til faliure, with 3-4 workouts gradually raising your wait with assistance. If your using any kind of supplements make sure you cycle for about 30 days and then take off a week. Your body will need the change. Keep protein to 2g per pound everyday to maintain and build mass 1g of protein for every pound will help you get lein. I like NO Explode every morning before my workout then protein shake (Muscle Milk) right after.

u probably need to vary your exercise, lift more, or do more reps. Don't push yourself too hard to the point that you tear the muscles

sound like your trying to buff up. it also sounds like you've been in the same routing too long. your muscles can become use to a specific routine. you'll need to change your exercises and change your muscle groups ie:chest/tris, back/shoulder.
