I am trying to decide when to take a pregnancy test. My period always skips ahead 5 days each month.?

October it was the 1st so for November it should start sometime between now and the 1st of November. Does that make sense?

Update:

My cycle has always been like this, and I have 2 kids, so no problem ovulating.

Have the preg test after 5-7 days of missed menstrual period.

If it always skips ahead 5 days then you have a 33 day cycle instead of a 28 day cycle. Everyone is different. Mine is a 30 day cycle.

So, I would take it on the 6th day- Nov. 2 or 3.

Because I wasn't sure the last time when I started, I waited an extra week. If you're pregnant, you're pregnant, a couple of days isn't going to change the results.

    Good luck :)

No, it doesnt make any sense. IF you period skips ahead 5 days (which is odd) and assuming you are on a 28 day cycle, you wouldnt even be due to start until October 28th which is Saturday, factor in your 5 day thing and your talking the 1st...Or the 5th, considering your theory of skipping ahead. Im lost, good luck!

I took a pregnancy test well 2 to be for sure 7 days before my period was even due and both came up positive and yes i was pregnant.

You can test 19 days from the day you think you became pregnant.

Or you could have a blood test done that shows up if you are pregnant 7 days after conception.

    Good luck

you probably just have longer cycle than most women, however, longer cycles can mean that you are not ovulating
