I am from the Netherlands and absolutely not from France. Apart from a different country we also have our own language (Dutch). In order to get to France I have to travel south, through Belgium. From the city where I live it is only a 2,5 - 3 hour drive though.
Big cities in France are: Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Bourdeaux, Toulon, Lille
Popular tourist destinations are: Versailles, Nice, Menton, Lourdes, Chamonix (mountaineering, skiing), Arles, Avignon.
