I saw it and have already e-mailed Chevy and have told them I will never again buy one of their cars. I understand marketing and I know why it was done but this is getting ridiculous. This is America, speak English.

Get legal, learn English, assimilate or get the hell out of my country!

Michelle - If you're going to have enough balls to cuss me out at least have enough balls to do it in English. Like I said, this is America if you want ANYTHING in spanish then go back to Mexico. If being proud of my language and my culture (the majority one) makes me a "racist" and a "redneck" I can live with that!

I saw the commercial and I say "hats off to Chevy". I agree that when you choose to immigrate to North America you should have respect for that countries language and traditions but I don't think a person should be forced to give up their own native languages and traditions. Chevy obviously thinks along the same lines. Think about it - how many of the players on both teams are Spanish speaking and Chevy knows their families will be tuned into the games - they are seeing dollar signs and at the same time looking appealing to another culture.

I find it funny the "American" reaction to everything. If you are as "American" as you let on by being offened by said commericial then you should be "American" enough to understand Capitalism...People can cry as much as they want about learning the language, but a company knows what will make them the most money. Many spanish speaking people in this country do speak English, but if a company shows they are willing to respect their culture and not only expect them to adopt ours, then they may gain that person as a customer...They wouldn't be doing it if there was not money to be made.

    - Nuke, being proud of your language and culture - what ever that means, since Americans are have the least amount of actual culture and why would someone be proud of a language? - does not make you a "redneck" or a "racist." It is your intolerence, hatred of those different from you, and your assumption that anyone who speaks Spanish is from Mexico!
