Do I need to be taken off Prometrium gradually?
I was given Prometrium to help me sustain this pregnancy through the first semester since I had two previous miscarriages that they attributed to low progesterone levels. I am nearing the end of the first trimester, do I just stop taking it when ordered to do so or is it better to be tapered off of it? I do not want to jeopardize this pregnancy...

Talk to your doctor. Do not do ANYTHING different with the medicine until you go in and talk to the doctor and have blood work done just to make sure that your hormone levels are where they need to be. Any sudden drop in hormones could jeopardize your pregnancy.
