How do I adjust where on screen programs open in Windows 2000?

I've located my task bar vertically on the left; when I open Mozilla or MSIE, there's no problem -- but MS Excel consistently hides part of the worksheet behind the task bar when I first open it.

I've tried adjusting the size, dragging the margins of the workbook around until they fit where I want them, then closing and re-opening Excel -- but it returns to its (apparently, some sort of default) position.

How can I get it to occupy only the part of the display not occupied by the task bar?

    Try the following:

1- Maximize the Excel window, then close and re-open

2- Disable any Macro that are running in the background

3- Mail me your e-mail address if non of these worked for you
