Does anyone know where the name for the movie Magnolia came from?

Just curious, I guess...

Update:

Obviously it's a flower, but why was the movie named that?

    “Magnolia” isn’t what you’d expect it to be.

    It has nothing to do with the flower but everything to do with the blossoming and dying of relationships.

    From the great Magnolia Wolfenstein in Leeds, Alabama - she was a great hard working woman that was very bullheaded in her ways of running a hairdressing shop and people loved her..
