you imagine possibly that is black because it survived a hearth? unlike something of the plane, it really is ordinarily made from sunshine substances which incorporates aluminum and plastic, the cockpit voice recorder and the flight files recorder are encased in stainless-metallic packing bins more effective or less 10 inches by technique of 10 inches by technique of 5. The metallic is in all likelihood a quarter inch thick and the packing bins are so heavy subsequently that the designers do not even problem enclosing the accompanying electronics, which in a crash frequently meet an same destiny because the passengers. As an further precaution, the packing bins are lined with a liquid-crammed foam bladder encased in plastic it really is meant to guard adverse to the bright warmth of a submit-crash fireplace. over the years those precautions have shown quite effectual. Investigators were given functional files off one recorder that were immersed contained in the sea for seven years. yet in yet another crash in Thailand the recorder landed in a pool of flaming gasoline and surely were given cooked. so as that they don't "continually live to inform the tale a plane crash". one component the NTSB discovered from adventure: be careful the position you position those products. Recorders became once positioned close to the point the position the wings joined the fuselage, the idea being that this became the most heavily built area of the plane. challenge became, being heavily built, the parts of the plane falling on the recorders typically beaten them. Now the recorders are put in the tail section so as that, assuming your commonplace crashing plane is going in nostril first, the ahead area of the airframe absorbs lots of the effect. Sitting decrease back there received't help you, although. once you integrate stuff contained in the Cuisinart, you imagine it concerns which end of the banana went in very last?

The plane would be too heavy and you couldn't get enough lift to get off the ground.

Well, you could, but not without rocket engines and thrusters the size of the plane.

Well, the black box material may weight a lot and might not be suitable for flight so I think that's why planes aren't made of them...

either because that would make too much sense, or...

they always have to search for the black box for hours and hours. if they had to do that with the whole plane everyone would already be dead by the time they were found.
