What's the big deal about the toilet seat?

Ok the other night I got up to pee and forgot to put the toilet seat down, later she got up to pee and claimed she fell into the toilet (butt first). She woke me up to tell me about it, I told her to quit exaggerating and rolled over and fell back to sleep. The next morning I asked her why can't she leave the seat up for me. Now she won't cook for me. I've living on Subways since then. No belly rubbing either. Help What's the big deal. What does a guy do to put out her fiery anger?

I must admit my mum taught me well, I always put the seat down (it's like an instinct now). And I agree us guys should do the right thing and ALWAYS put the seat down.

But that being said, if it's bad manners for us to put the seat up and leave it because the ladies need it down, Is it not disregardful of women to not put it up for us?

Hey, it's not a big deal to put down the seat, but it's just a sweet, considerate thing to do. Like cooking for someone...... You're in a relationship, dude, it's not about (only) you! She's pissed because she tried to tell you how she felt about something and you blew her off. Not cool. Tell her you're sorry and come to some sort of compromise you can both live with. Or buy stock in Subway.

PS My boyfriend saw this and said "What compromise? Leave the toilet seat halfway up?" Whatever. Anyway, he pointed out that waking you up in the middle of the night wasn't cool either, so how about promising her that you'll put the seat down if she promises not to wake you up in the middle of the night with issues?

Why in the international would everyone not placed the lid down even as he's achieved utilising the lavatory? Do human beings income from the sight of the interior of a rest room? Does the idea excite them that possibly something might want to roll from the counter and into the bowl and they'll ought to retrieve it? men and women everyone is both at fault for not putting down the seat AND lid!

First of all, I'm a woman, and no matter WHERE I sit, I always look. I personally don't have a problem if my man leaves the seat up; it's really no big deal since I LOOK before I sit! It's very simple but men and women like to pick on each other for no good reason and that basic behavior needs to stop.

If I sit on a park bench, I look....to makes sure there's nothing there like gum or squirrel poop.

If I sit in a restaurant chair, I make sure the seat doesn't have food, or a drink spilled on it.

Should I give more examples, or do you get the point?

    Sorry, sir,

But when you go "pee" you stand and you don't really care if the seat is up or down... When she does... It's not only the "falling in" part... Have you tried to sit down on that thing without the seat in the middle of the night??? IT'S COLD!!! ;-) Plus to that... It might be... ummm... not so clean?!

I do always check where I sit, since I have not only a husband, but also two boys in the family. But sometimes a woman might be too sleepy and forgetful, sometimes she might be not feeling well... and sometimes just in a hurry... So.... Is it really that hard to put the seat down?

How would you like it if you were half asleep and stumbled in the bathroom only to sit down and fall in the nasty toilet water that is full of bacteria and not to mention very cold! Well it is a big deal to girls so I would suggest you start putting it down. They put a lid on the top to keep bacteria from just contaminating everything. She is probably more mad at you because you weren't even sympathetic the night it happened. You dismissed it and fell back asleep. That is more rude than leaving the lid up. You need to apologize and you need to mean it.

Seriously, how difficult would it be to put the seat down as a considerate gesture to your partner? It is very easy to fall into the toilet if the seat isn't down. Just be considerate.

Put the flippin' seat down. You will never know how horrible it is to get a cold wet butt in the middle of the night. It is very cold and cruel.

Say you're sorry, even if you think it's silly. Then try to remember to put the seat down--it really is awful to fall, butt first, into cold icky toilet-water.

It is, too, possible to fall in! I know because I've done it myself, and did JUST what your poor wife did!

Grown-ups put the seat down, honey. Little boys leave it up.
