We're not told what the fruit of the tree of life is.

    Rev. 22:2

... On either side of the river was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit every month; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

    Rev. 22:14

Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter by the gates into the city.

There is fruit, but we are not told what that fruit is. The tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil was the probation of Adam and Eve, the only thing that God withheld from them, not even the Tree of Life was forbidden them, until they sinned.

    Matthew 4:17

From that time Jesus began to preach and say, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."

The fruit of the Tree of Life is the salvation of Christ. Christ offers both salvation of the body and of the spirit. Thus, the fruit of the tree of life represents both an eternal body and a perfected spirit.

The tree of life is a symbol for Christ. Angels and a flaming sword were put to protect the tree of life. The flaming sword represents the word of God and angels represent those called of God to instruct the people. In order to obtain salvation, you must be willing to follow God's words and obey His servants, the Prophets. To partake of salvation without this would leave you living forever in an unlearned state, having never taken the opportunity to learn that which God wanted to teach you.

This is a simple explanation for a complex subject. A lot more could be said...

The apple is a common symbol. It is regarded as a symbol of sexuality, knowledge (hence giving the teacher an apple)

The story of Adam and Eve the apple became a symbol for temptation, the fall of man into sin, and sin itself. "It is easier to bring the dead back to life than to live with a woman without endangering the soul" St Bernard proclaimed.

The Tree of Life is not the same as the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

The Tree of Life is Jesus, and the Fruit of the Tree of Life is eternal Life.

Why do you put those two-mythology and religion- in the same sentence?

    The Bible is true.

The fruit to the tree of life is more blessings than we can ever imagine being poured out--by God's love for us ---and His promises in the Bible.
