My computer is EXTREMELY SLOW when starting up!!! PLEASE HELP ME OUT!?

My computer is about 2 years old, and has been running really fine until about two days ago. Now whenever I boot up, it stays at the WINDOWS XP Screen [Loading Page] for about 5-10 minutes or so until it can change into the WELCOME SCREEN. After getting on the WELCOME SCREEN, the computer runs normally and fine. But its making me really mad having to wait for it to boot up?

Computer Info:

Windows XP Pro

Used 27.3 GB out of 179 GB

I have tried going to run and typing in the MSCONFIG thing, but that didn't help. I cleaned up the disk space and switched my Spyware Finder thing to Spyware Search & Destroy. I've found a few spywares, but I do not think that is the problem.

Please help me!!! Thank you so much, and try to be specific because I can tend to get a little slow sometimes when concerning the computer and it's hardware of whatever.

Update:

*** If you can, please do not give me links unless it really does help me. I want step by step instructions to manually save my computer from getting slow at start up. I do not really think additional downloading and softwares is required, am I right? I may not really be a smart computer smartie but I really don't think extra downloading is necessary... I just want to save it from going slow, not put more weight on it's hardrive...
