for ANYBODY ONLY!!!!!!?

ever notice that almost evertime a question starts with "for such and such people only!!!!" it's racist? either that or it's just plain demeaning to anyone who is not such & such? what's the point of getting answers from only select people - and do people who post these questions honestly think that only such & such people are going to look at their question? or is this logical thinking just me?

Update:
Update 2:

i'm not talking about ones that are asking about a culture that only such & such would know about, nor am i talking about innocent questions - i'm talking about the ones that are lightly veiled bigotry

Update 3:

Posey -

i am not talking about something that could not be racist, some of them are not even thinly veiled, they call people out and out idiots in some of these questions i am talking about. and if you're ok with racism, then i guess that's fine for you.

Update 4:

posey -

i didn't call you racist, i judged by your answer that you were ok with it, not that you were.

Sorry, I a can't answer cause I am a nobody. but yes, that is true. And no they do it for all to see but then use the for so and so, that way they can say it wasn't intended for them and that they shouldn't be offended.

Just guessing here, but I'm assuming the asker is trying to get a consensus from a contrasting segment of the population; i.e. a "female" perspective on a question asked by a male. Is that racist? Is it sexist? No, I don't think so....but they wish to broaden their horizons by reaching out to other cultures or groups with which they have little knowledge or daily contact....just to know how they think. P.S.: I have never asked such a question. LOL.

  • Okay then, I take that back here too! lol. Yes for the people who do this to only one group such as m/f only, I think it is because as the oppisite sex they want to get an ego stroke. Most of the time it is hey, you think i am able to be in a relationship, am I good looking, etc...

Well, I have an answer for you. I only do that for ONE specific type of question. And that is when I want to get opinions from my fellow Florida citizens on issues that affect our state. Like population growth, rising housing costs, public transportation issues in Florida, etc. Getting the opinions of tourists (for example- "OMG, I just LOVE Disney World") or retirees that live here part-time is not what I want. I don't want outside perspectives on those types of questions. And as for questions that are only directed at one race of people- I simply don't do that.

Anything and everything can be considered racist nowadays, and quite frankly I'm f'ing sick of people pointing it out.

How you determine I am racist and ok with it based on what i said is beyond me. I'm married to a black man, I am not racist.

I've only seen ones for girls or guys only. I don't think it's so bad, they may just be curious what one particular sex or race says about an issue, or it may only apply to them.

they must think that other wise they wouldn't post it only for those people. It's stupid. IF your gonna ask a question, involve everyone.
