there are third world countrys , but what are second world countrys?/?

During the Cold War, the Communist nations of the world were commonly referred to as Second World Countries. However, since the fall of the Soviet Union, that term is no longer used..

I'm not sure, but, I believe that they are called third world countries, and skip right over second world countries, because they are trying to say that they are soo far from the norm, such as America, and Japan etc.that they are almost total opposites. Therefore, they should be atleast one number apart. lol that is just my theory.

Actually, these days, it's politically unsuitable to name a nation first- or 3rd-international. They are handiest built, or constructing. Hence, South Africa and Sudan might each be underneath "constructing" and nations like America might be "built". In this manner, it removes any speak of first-, moment-, or 3rd-international classifications.
