Smoking VW Passat Sport 2.0TDI?

I have a new model VW Passat Sport 2.0 TDI. Ever since it was new it has smoked when the engine is under load. Obviously the diesel produces a cetain amouint of smoke but in particular the Sport model seems to produce an excessive amount. The company I work for also got several SE models at the same time and these don't seem to be effected. I have noticed other Sport models have the same problem when I follow them. It's difficult to see your own car doing it because of the rear tinted windows darkening everything anyway. Earlier this wek the car went back to VW and had the latest fuel mapping upgrade, its now better but not acceptable. The only option on the car that may have any link is I chose cruise control, which the SE has as standard, but has to be added to the fuel mapping on this model. It has covered 37,000 miles with full VW history, and uses no oil. Does anyone or any VAG service technicians have any idea why this model does this or how to correct it please ?

Update:

This car spends its entire life on the motorway, 37,000 miles in 10 months (had it last christmas) means its always being used so it can't be because it clogs up around town all the time. A full VW service history also means the oil is changed on a regular basis. Maybe the Sport model doesn't have somesort of filter or something that the other models in the range do have. There is definately something about the Sport model that doesn't seem to effect the other VW's with the same engine, although I have noticed it on some Audi A4 with 2.0TDI same engine. There must be differences somewhere within the exhaust, filter or fuel mapping somewhere.

Update 2:

Despite what VW tells you I am convinced there is a difference somewhere, probably either in the fuel mapping or fuel filtering, exhaust etc. We had four new SE Passats earlier this year and two of them have had to be recalled for re-mapping, despite them all being delivered on the same day, sequential numbers etc - so they can be and are different but local VW dealer cannot or won't say why/what etc, simply two had to be recalled and the other two were ok.

as far as i am aware there have not been any problems with this model if it has already had the re-map.The cruise should not make any difference to this either or the filtration/exhaust systems which are standard throughout the entire range. The only problem i have come across smoking wise has been with the v6 model and this is due to the engine breathers filter being blocked but i consider this unlikely considering the milage and service history of the car.hope this is of some help

There is no difference between the sport and the SE engine wise, the difference being trim and suspension.

most diesel cars will put out black smoke when you accelerate hard but should clear when the throttle is backed off.

change the oil more often switch to bp ultimate diesel its a bit more expensive but i started using in my renault laguna diesel which was smoking and it seems to have solved the problem also try taking it on the motorway and taking the revs up as high as you can in each gear but dont go speeding this will blow a lot of the crap out the engine

if its also sounding louder than normal injector seals are worn causing oil level to rise slightly as I om combustion stroke pushing out raw fuel into rocker cover and on induction stroke pulling in oil in to bore .l puffot smoke slightly after standing a few hours as oil will also seep into bore through worn injector seals
