Will a laptop's warranty that was bought from the US still be covered in other countries?
I'm planning to buy a laptop from the US (I'm from Asia) because they're 50% cheaper than buying locally, but I'm worried about the warranty. Will the warranty still cover me even if I'm not in the US? Which brands have a worldwide warranty?
Additional Details:
Transportation/Shipment won't be a factor since I'm having a relative bring it over when she returns from her vacation.

First of all you have to ask the manufacturer like Dell, HP & Lenovo if the unit you are buying has "International warranty". Inform them the country or countries of destination and ask if they are under the coverage. If not ask how much do you have to add to get the international coverage. Next, get the ful detail of the service centers in those countries are are planning to go. I know for a fact that Dell & HP does this. Be careful HP has the knack of selling you a model with international warranty but parts of that model exist only in th US. Not all the model in the US are available or even supported outside it. For example, DELL is fully supported in the Philippines but only the Laltitude D410, D420, D510, D520, D6series models. But for the Dimension series Dell Phils may not have parts for them. For me Dell provides the best after sales support and also the durability of the produc is without questions. As for other brands, the complaints and nightmares are endless.

The Hardware might, but most of the software cannot be transferred. If it is transferred, any warranty that was on it is void, unless under certain circumstances, such as Goverment Use or if your a Corporation Registered in USA.

Yeah, but it'll probably be prohibitively expensive and time consuming to ship your laptop back to the U.S. for service.
I can't believe you can't find something cheaper in Asia
