    Probably 3-10 more hp

Changing the pulleys will do more

It does take a fair bit of power to run an air con system so whilst cutting the belt will not actually give you more horsepower, it will allow more of what is already produced to power the car instead of the air con. You may also notice you get a few more miles per gallon.

In my car ('03 Elantra), I definitely notice the power decrease when the A/C compressor is running. So I turn it off, and the power comes back. I don't think you lose much power just by spinning the pulley when the compressor clutch is not engaged, it's going to be like a 0.05 hp gain, and you won't have air conditioning.

Yes it will but what else gets shut off if you cut the belt. This could be a disaster - check first!
