Baby wearing a charm??? Colombian or Arab?

I am watching a 2 month old baby boy. His parents are from Colombia, the father is of Arab desent...the baby is wearing a red ribbon with a red heart shaped charm and two unknown charms around his wrist.does anyone know what this is???I will ask his mom later, I just did not see it until she had already left...

Update:

mom called to check on little one...the charms are for health, luck, and wealth. it was a gift from her mother
