What program should I make address labels on?

best bet is to build your database in excell and then when you get ready to do the labels you use mail merge in word. Also if you buy Avery labels - they often will have a cd in the package that can also assist you in creating the labels.

Hi, If you have microsoft word, you can do labels from there. Go to Tools Letters and Mailings Envelopes and Labels Click on labels tab Options (to choose your labels or set them up how you want to and follow instructions Standard Microsoft labels are Avery brand so if you don't have those labels on a sheet, you'll need to measure the margins and make the adjustments in the options section. MS Word is ideal. Use mail merge and the label wizard. You need to create a data file or you can even use your existing contact data from excel / word / access / outlook. You open a new document and start the wizard, use the new document to set up the layout of the labels. YOu will have lots of default settings to choose from. and even the option to customize the label to your specs.

found a fairly easy way to print address labels using a macro from Avery (the label company.)

Download the Avery Wizard (free) from: http://www.avery.com/software/produ...oft_cat_code...

Install it - It will imbed itself into MS Word.

Export the addresses you want to print from Palm Desktop using Edit_Send To_MS Word.

In Word, delete all Columns except the name and address columns you want to print. Save the file as a .DOC.

Click on the Avery Wizard, (red triangle on the toolbar) and walk through the steps to format labels, using the above .doc when it asks "which file contains your information?

This was a much smother operation than when I tried using the Palm.com instructions for printing labels posted above.

Use word..simply go to "tools" then "letters and mailings" then "envelopes & labels" and choose the approprite one. If you buy Avery lables that makes it really easy..Word has like "Avery 3160" the form for the labels are all set up for you...couldn't be easier.

I use word and do tha mail merge. Just make sure you are using the matching template to the size lables that you have. And if the template is not in your system then you can download it at microsofttemplates.com or avery.com
